As a valued NeuroMoves client, we want to make you aware of an important opportunity to have your voice heard.

At NeuroMoves, Exercise Physiology (EP) has been at the heart of what we do for over 16 years. EPs make up 80% of our team, and we have seen firsthand the life-changing impact this service has on health, independence, and quality of life. We know how important it is to you — your feedback can help ensure EP continues to be recognised as a vital support for people with disability and neurological conditions well into the future.

The NDIS Evidence Advisory Committee (EAC) is currently reviewing the role of EP under the NDIS. The EAC is seeking consumer & professional feedback via an online survey.

This EAC review is the first of its kind and will inform future funding and service delivery decisions — including how EP is funded within the NDIS, how long people can access it, and whether it might be replaced or reduced in future.

The EAC would like to hear from people who:

  • currently use Exercise Physiology
  • have previously used Exercise Physiology
  • would like to use Exercise Physiology in the future
  • support or care for people who use Exercise Physiology
  • use other supports for the same purpose or a similar purpose
  • do research on Exercise Physiology
  • are otherwise interested in providing feedback

This includes:

  • people with disability
  • families and carers of people with disability
  • service providers and clinicians
  • people who do research about disability
  • other interested people.

Attached here are some suggestions and prompts to help you reflect on your experiences with EP and ensure your feedback clearly communicates the importance and positive impact that EP has had on your health, independence, and overall quality of life.

By sharing your feedback, you are helping protect the supports that make a genuine, life-changing difference for you and so many others in Australia. We encourage you (and/or your family member or carer) to complete the EAC’s Exercise Physiology Survey here: NDIS Consultation | Department of Health, Disability and Ageing

The survey takes 10–15 minutes to complete and the submissions close at 11:59pm AEDT on 9 November 2025. Responses can be anonymous.

Why this matters:

Your feedback will help demonstrate the importance of Exercise Physiology in supporting people with disability to live active, independent, and healthy lives.

Clear and considered responses will assist the EAC in understanding that EP is a specialised, evidence-based, and irreplaceable allied health service — not a general fitness activity.

Thank you for your time and for supporting the future of EP within the NDIS.
